As a designer, especially a textile designer, for me, colors, are an essential part of life. I love colors, many different colors. Each of my color “obsessions” represents a certain mood, period of life, inspiration to my creations and, in a way, my “personal weather”.
Lately, I find myself drawn to the color green again, it relaxes me.
Living and working in the countryside, I step outside of the studio and take a break, looking at the sea of green orchards and fields around. It’s a boost of energy, allowing me a refreshing start for the soul, a break from the computer screen or the bright studio lights.
Looking back at photos from years of traveling around the world, in places like China, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Switzerland, India or South America, I guess it was always a greater inspiration to me than I have imagined.
I use it often in my collections. Olive or emerald greens in the wintertime, bright lime or green grass for summer collections. It looks great on most skin tones, and works fantastic with other colors. It’s a great color to have in your wardrobe. Stay tuned for the upcoming SS15.
I hope you share this love of mine…
